About the Event

The African American Cultural Center's Dance and Performance Company under the direction of Dance Director, Lynette L. Simmons and Drum Director, Eric B. Ansuade will host an African Dance and Music Festival in honor of the late African Dance Baba Chuck Davis.

In addition, to the AACC's "Kakilambe" Performance Company, the event will feature local Reggae Band, "Neville Francis and Riddim Posse" as the opening act, followed by Ghanian acts Al Hassan Yawusa, Christian Horla Kutte, David E. Nyadezor, and Esther Dorzo. Buffalo performers Griffin Brady and Ringo Brill will be showcased as well.

We will be supporting local small business vendors by having an African Marketplace selling food and merchandise!!!

We are excited to kick off Spring/Summer 2021 as we emerge from the pandemic and winter isolation. Come Dance, Eat, and have some COVID-Conscious Fun as we come together as a community and celebrate our strong roots!
